Designs by email
Sending designs by email is cheap and almost instantaneous. Preferred file formats can be:
.eps (Encapsulated postscript),
.ai (Adobe Illustrator)
.cdr .cmx (CorelDraw)
.wmf (Windows metafile)
.dxf (Autocad)

PC or Mac format (PC preferred) and files must be saved as graphic files (see hints on file saving below).

Files are then attached to emails as 'file attachments' in your email program and emailed to mick@embassysigns.co.uk

 

.eps Hints

Generally all text needs to be exported as graphics.

Adobe Illustrator
1. Select the design.
2. Go to 'TYPE' and click on 'CREATE OUTLINES'.
3. Save as 'ILLUSTRATOR EPS FILE'.

Macromedia Freehand
Convert fonts to curves/paths .eps (Select dos .eps)

 

.ai Hints

1. Convert text to curves
2. Select File and then Export.
3. Select List Type of File.
4. Select Adobe Illustrator *.ai;*.eps
5. Select job to be exported.
6. Select file extension to be used.
7. In Export Adobe Illustrator Information box, select Adobe Illustrator 88 (ai88) under format.
8. Under Export Text As, select Curves.
9. Click on OK to create .ai files.

For verification of any designs sent by email, please fax a hard copy for final checking, together with indication of any colours or materials.
